Common Reasons for Filing an Application for Exemption:
Exemption from Personal Appearance
If a party (especially the accused in criminal cases or a witness) is unable to attend court due to illness, distance, age, or other valid reasons.
Exemption from Filing Original Documents
If a party wishes to file photocopies instead of original documents due to unavailability or risk of loss/damage.
Exemption from Court Fee
Poor litigants (indigent persons) may seek exemption from paying court fees under Order XXXIII of CPC (civil cases).

That the appellant most humbly submit as under:-
That the present matter is fixed for argument before this Hon’ble Court.
That the appellant no.1 is out of station for some urgent purpose and appellant no.2 is suffering from viral fever and hence both the appellants are unable to appear before this Hon’ble court on today’s date.
That in view of the above this Hon’ble Court be pleased to grant exemption from personal appearance to the appellants in the interest of natural justice.
